2 year Dr. Appt

Atalia had her 2 year old check-up yesterday. The doctor was very impressed with Atalia and how "advanced" she was. Ha ha. Of course her dad and I were just smiling ear to ear with that comment. Here are her stats:

Weight: 29 lbs 8 oz (83%)
Height: 35 1/4" (83%)
HC: 47.9 cm (60%)

McDonalds Play Land

I'm so grossed out. My sister and I brought our kids to a kid carnival sort of thing. Well, we were there for only 30 min and it started raining. The kids were bummed out so my sister suggested to go to McDonalds playland. If you know my sister this is something she would never suggest. She hates these places and is completely grossed out but we gave it a shot. This was my first time at Playland too. I don't care for "germ" fests like that! Well, as all of the kids were up in the tunnels playing. I noticed a girl about 3 years old with her diaper and pants off. No, this wasn't my child or any child that was with us. However, it was another child and when I tried to tell the mom she was so deep into her book that she didn't hear me. I was so embarrassed b/c I tried to get her attention for awhile. Anyways, once she found out that her child did this she charged out of the place leaving the soiled clothes up in the tunnels for other kids to run around in. She left her table a complete mess and tried to take Atalia's shoes on the way out. What a day......YUMMY YUMMY! This is why I won't go back to Playland for a long long time!

Camping

We went camping with some friends last weekend and had a blast. Atalia was such a great camper we want to go back again soon before it SNOWS.

Swim Diaper

Oh my gosh you will never guess what Atalia did the other day during her nap. Well, since we switched her to the toddler bed she has been a little stinker. I put her down for a nap in a pull-up after screaming for 10 minutes she finally fell asleep. Let me tell you that 10 minutes felt like an hour..it was horrible! Anways, once she calmed down and fell asleep she woke up saying "mommy, atalia's awake". So, I went into her room and found her handing me a swim diaper with poop in it. She said, "here are my uckies mommy". Oh my goodness I couldn't believe what I was looking at. Gross!! Not only did she take off her pull-up I put on her before nap but she switched it for a swim diaper and then pooped it. It's funny now that I think of it but I'm praying she NEVER does that again.

Pink Chair

I don't think she really cares for the mattress on the floor. Instead she would rather sleep on her new pink chair she got for her b-day. Doesn't look comfy at all to me! Tonight I bought the ugliest Dora toddler bed sheet set. I guess we will be getting a bedroom ready for Atalia earlier than planned. Where did our little girl go??

Big Girl Bed

Ok, Atalia is now going to be sleeping in a big girl bed (toddler bed). We are going over to my sisters house to pick one up. I have to run to Target after work and get some Dora sheets now. She went down for a nap just fine this afternoon. I hope tonight works just as well! Wish me luck!

Thump!

Oh my goodness as I'm trying to figure out this "blogging" stuff I hear a thump coming from Atalia's room. I then hear little feet coming out to the living room and Atalia smiling saying "Atalia's awake". Atalia not only climbed out of her bed but she figured out how to open doors too! I then gave her the option to sleep in mommy's bed or sleep in her crib. She chose mommy's bed but then proceeded to get out of bed about 5 or 6 times. I told her if she gets out of bed one more time she would go back in her crib. She then got out for the final time and said, "it's time for the crib". So, I thought heck let's give it another try. "THUMP"! Once again the princess climbed out of her crib. I decided to take the mattress out and put on floor. That didn't work either b/c she kept on opening the door. I then put a door knob cover on the inside of the room. Atalia decided to kick and scream "mommy hold me"... I almost melted and gave in. I stayed strong and it only lasted 10 minutes. It was the longest 10 minutes .....It's going to be intresting tomorrow for naps... Any ideas on how to make this easier??

Ultrasound

We had our ultrasound a couple of weeks ago. The baby is doing great and we are excited for the arrival. The baby is due November 10... No, we aren't finding out the sex! u

Ok, I'm not going to lie I have NO CLUE what I'm doing. All I know is that a couple of my friends "blog" and I love reading about their day. It makes me feel like I'm not a bajillion miles away from them. So, here is goes.....wish me luck!
